My mom has severe disabilities. She cannot do it. :( As a matter of fact, trying to figure out how to get her to my wedding and to participate in teh wedding (as she will surely want to do) is a great source of stress for me- but THAT stress is one my fiancee will be ahppy to help with becasue he knows that it is stressful and why.
I have a mother-like figure from church, but I wonder if she will have time to help? I feel bad asking for too much help.
My closest bridesmaid is my sister/MOH who lives 4 hours away...the others are all accorss the country and preoccupied with their new and/or growing families

  • Avatar Anj How do I word a wedding invitation for one ceremony and three receptions?
Aug 22, 2007 by Anj | Posted in Weddings

My partner and I are originally from different countries and we are planning on having wedding receptions in these two countries as well where we are residing now. We were thinking of doing a wedding invitation for the ceremony which will be in the country we are residing now and also include a reception card which will have the three reception venues in the three countries and give a choice in the RSVP card to tick which one they will be attending. Would like to hear if you have been in a similar position, and if so what did you do?

    • I agree that you should do it separately. People get so stupid and confused when it s time to RSVP for something. I had people RSVP for our wedding without even filling out the card. They just wrote their names and sent it back. Our response card was the delete as appropriate style and it stated that on the card. Only about 10% of the guests actually did that though most circled, crossed out the wrong thing, or just wrote on there. I can only imagine the confusion with three receptions in different countries to choose from!

My fiance and I are planning to have a courthouse wedding ceremony this May with close family and friends. Then a few days later we are planning to have a huge wedding reception for everyone to come and celebrate our union. The problem is, I don t know that correct words or phrase to use on the wedding reception invitations without sounding offensive to those who may have not been invited to the ceremony. So, what is a good way to word my wedding reception invitations?
