Wedding Invitation From "Stranger"

2006-06-12 23:04:21 by -

Just got an invitation from my cousin's daughter. My cousin died several years ago and I have never met the daughter. She addressed the invitation to Mrs. (I've never been married) and misspelled my name. This young woman lives in San Diego and I'm in SF, so I'm not compelled to attend the wedding. Am I wrong to feel this invite is just sort of an invoice or should I be honored to be invited? My cousin and I lived in different parts of the country and didn't see each other but a few times in our lives. I'm wrestling with this and would appreciate some input.

Still not finding the right one. I want paisley, cartoonish owls, fall colors and sorta country chic. Like folksy, down home country charm but not redneck ot trashy. I ve found several that have some of the elements i want but not the perfect onethinking im going to have to get crafty. Don t want to pay an insane amount for 350 custom invites. IF you designed your own was it worth it and do you have any tips? thanks!

My fiance will be going on a two year mission for church so we aren t having the wedding for 3 years. However I want to start looking or gathering ideas but a lot of places require appointments and I m not planning on buying invitations or a dress soon. So should I go look around or just wait for a closer date? And if I wait, is there anything I can do now?

    • Three years is a long duration, so it would be better to start your planning around 1 or 1 and a half year before your actual marriage date.
