    • What a fun idea! 1. Instead of place cards, glue Scrabble pieces together to spell out names. (This is also a fun idea for Christmas ornaments!) Make your cake monogram out of Scrabble pieces. 3. Make napkin rings out of some ribbon or twine with the Scrabble piece for your last name initial on top. 4. Use images of Scrabble pieces on your save-the-dates or invitations.     • Can you push it back to December, January, February or March? October is still in the "peak" wedding season and you may pay lower fees in the winter months. Or see if pushing it to late November would make a difference. Talk to the halls you want to rent, and the vendors you want to book, and see if they do a winter discount. Fridays and Sundays, and Saturday afternoons, are typically cheaper than Saturday nights, since Saturday night is the most in-demand.
